GOALS:

2/08/02 - First meeting of structures team. Discussed how the cubesat frame could be duplicated to allow other subsystem teams to have a working model. The engineering machinist will most likely do the duplication. The use of solar panels has been suggested and the structures team will do a feasibility analysis. In order to help with the analysis, a wax model of the exterior of the satellite will be completed.
2/15/02 - Dimensions of frame were delivered to machinist so wax blocks could be ordered. The structures team discussed how temporary models of the frame could be fabricated so that the other subsystem teams can have something to work while the actual duplicates are being made. The use of aluminum or steel channels or possibly sheet metal is being researched.
3/1/02 - We got the sheet metal to fabricate the simple modules for the EE teams (to see how the circuit boards will fit and possibly how to attach it to the frame?)  This will be a trial and error process since none of us have much experience with machining.  Brought up the difference in the standoffs from Revision 5, but no decision made just yet on how this will be handled.
3/15/02 - Discussed about doing preliminary vibration analysis using ANSYS Finite Element Software. Simple frame out of poster board for the EE teams are nearly completed.
4/12/02 - Conducting feasibility assessment of nylon screw usage for the active antenna.
